As a Frankfurt/Berlin based Associate Consultant you will be in a client focused delivery role, supporting clients and other team members to deliver crisis and security risk consulting services.

Role tasks and responsibilities

  • Develop and co-conduct Crisis Management exercises and simulations for clients.
    Conduct security assessments, construct recommendations based on findings, and manage implementation of those recommended controls.
    Design client-specific Crisis Management, Business Continuity, and/or Security Management plans, based on best practices and client specifications.
    Interface directly with clients from start to finish of project, including scoping, delivery, and reporting.
    Assess client’s current state (of crisis management preparation, threat profile, etc) and define recommendations for improvement. May be done through conducting interviews, site security reviews, physical penetration testing etc.
    Facilitate workshops, prepare business proposals and presentations that show the benefit of our recommendations. Implement these recommendations by managing projects and programmes.
    Be an active member of the CSC team and engage in internal information management.
    Collaborate with your international colleagues and liaise with the clients to keep them informed of progress and to enable relevant decisions.
    Maintain time and expense records to ensure accurate invoicing in accordance with company procedure
    Delivery of tasks for clients on time, on budget, to the highest standards
    This role will involve travel to client sites within Germany and across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Requirements

Essential

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Must be fluent in English and German. Dutch, Spanish, or another European language is ideal
  • Higher education degree focused on crisis management, security, or similar field
  • Experience delivering services to clients in the fields of crisis management, risk consulting, or security consulting
  • Experience conducting trainings and workshops
  • Excellent communication skills, so you can actively listen and answer by putting your point across
  • Proven ability of working as part of team, supporting professional delivery with a focus on quality
  • Creative and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Proven team player with independent capacity to also work with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to multi-task and balance competing requirements
  • Be open minded, articulate and confident when it comes to saying what you think.
  • You need to flexibly and positively embrace changing priorities and workloads.

Preferred

  • Practical background in crisis management, risk consulting, or security consulting
  • Experience managing projects and juggling complex logistics to deliver a high-quality outcomes
  • Work and/or study experience throughout Europe, the Middle East, or Africa
