Specialist, Database Security

We are now looking for a Specialist to join our Database Engineering team. This team oversees OP’s database platforms and their licensing, developing, support/operations and overall control. As a Database Security Specialist, you oversee database platform support and monitoring especially from a security and compliance point of view. This role is located in Helsinki or Oulu, but you can also work remotely from elsewhere in Finland according to OP’s hybrid practices.

More about the role and team:

We work as the support of databases from development to production. As the database security expert, you will help different stakeholders meet their goals and guide them to find the best practices as well as help standardize different team’s processes. You will work closely with different project teams, maintenance teams and other internal and external stakeholders. As a part of this Specialist role, there are a few instances where your input is needed outside your regular working hours for things such as production failures or upgrades.

What makes your work meaningful, is assuring the smooth running of our services (paying, mobile bank, identification) and by so keeping our 2,1 million owner-customers happy.

What do we wish from you?

We hope to find a good team player with the right set of technical skills. These skills include prior experience from:

•    Databases as a Developer or an Expert.
•    OnPrem and Cloud database environments and according tools.
•    Database Security products, such as Guardium, Azure Defender and database encryption and master keys / certificate control.
•    Agile approach to developing.
•    Good communication skills in English, Finnish skills are seen as an advantage.
•    Experience from Python/Linux/Unix/rexx-scripting and for example ansible, DevOPS db tools is seen as an advantage.
