Senior Lead Security Engineer - AWS, Python

As a Senior Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of cybersecurity challenges that span multiple technology domains.

Job responsibilities

• Engages and improve the whole lifecycle of services - from inception and design through deployment, operation and refinement
• Develops and build solutions relating to Cloud Environment Governance and Protection, Auditing, Monitoring, Remediation and Reporting 
• Designs, develops and improves services to scale as the firm's cloud usage grows 
• Develops, tests, deploys, maintains and enhances software/tooling solutions
• Manages individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables, performs system design and code reviews
• Advocates for engineering excellency and operation excellency
• Leads stakeholder interactions and mentors fellow junior engineers 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Strong experience in developing and architecting cloud-native applications with AWS services.
• Proficiency and hands-on experience in AWS services, including Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, EKS, etc
• Practical exposure with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions such as Terraform and CloudFormation
• Experience in developing enterprise software and proficiency in multiple languages, preferably Python
• CI/CD experience utilizing tools such as Github, Jenkins etc.
• Ability to conceptualize, design, validate and implement creative solutions to complex technical issues

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Knowledge of Cybersecurity
• Experience with Azure, GCP or other Public Cloud environments
• Cloud Certifications including AWS Developer Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Associate
