Manager - Business continuity Security and Safety.Risk and Compliance

You will be reporting directly to Head of Department Risk and Compliance. You will also report to Group Risk and Compliance Business Continuity and Resilience function. As the custodian of Business Continuity and Resilience, Health and Safety processes, your role is to support the organization to implement the right approaches to Business Continuity and Resilience, Physical security mechanisms and you will oversee the health and safety mechanisms.  Your main role is to ensure that business is prepared to face risks, incidents, and crisis effectively consequently to a great preparation and efficient mechanisms.

Continuous Risk & Compliance Management & Reporting:

• Perform and encourage continuous and effective risk management practice within your activities.
• Promote risk-based decision taken. Ensure effective escalation of key risks, compliance breach and non-ethical issues. 
• Demonstrate and encourage ethical behaviors. Promote Business continuity best practices and compliance to applicable regulations and internal PPPs (Policy, Process and Procedures).

 

Leadership & Administration:

• Manage and lead a diverse team, setting clear objectives and performance metrics.
• Liaise with senior management to align the department's goals with the organization's strategic objectives.
• Manage the department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and staying updated with industry trends.
• Regularly report to the executive team on departmental performance, challenges, and achievements.

Business Continuity and Resilience:                                                                                

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive business continuity plans and disaster recovery strategies.
• Conduct detailed risk assessments, business impact analyses, and identify critical business functions and processes.
• Organize and facilitate business continuity training and awareness programs across all departments.
• Design and conduct regular drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of the business continuity plans.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless business operations during disruptions.

Physical Security:

• Oversee the implementation and management of physical security measures, including access controls, surveillance systems, and emergency response protocols.
• Develop and regularly update security policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and emerging threats.
• Coordinate with external law enforcement and emergency services to enhance security measures.
• Conduct periodic security reviews and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.
• Lead and manage the response to security incidents and emergencies, including post-incident analysis and reporting.

Occupational Health & Safety:

• Develop and enforce a comprehensive OHS policy that complies with local and international health and safety laws.
• Identify workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Develop and facilitate OHS training programs for employees and ensure regular drills.
• Monitor and audit the workplace for OHS compliance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, ensuring thorough documentation and implementation of preventive measures.

Education:                                                                                                                                                                   

   A bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

• More than 5 years in Business Continuity and Resilience or Health and Safety domain with a recognized certification
• Strong understanding of technology trends in terms of Business Continuity and Resilience (information security issues) 
• Must be bilingual and digitally literate (able to use automated tools to perform its activities) 

Competencies:

• Project Management advanced skills including ability to drive cross functional teams and/or teams in a managed service model.
• Management skills (people and resources management, performance management, budgeting skills, vendor management…) 
• Ability to drive Risk management end to end process is a must.
• Intermediate skills on compliance management 
• Must be bilingual and digitally literate (able to use automated tools to perform its activities)
