Principal Engineer - Cybersecurity

What's the opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Engineer - Cybersecurity & Functional Safety, you will be responsible ensuring all electrical and electronic content in our vehicles is sufficiently resilient against cyber-attack which could cause physical, financial, operation and privacy-related harm, from concept through to disposal.

What you will do:

• Developing and delivering the Cybersecurity Plan for a single vehicle programme whilst including Type Approval in line with CSMS.
• Managing the cybersecurity team for their vehicle project, consisting of internal and external stakholders.
• Ensuring all documentary evidence is complete including, but not limited to TARAs, Cybersecurity Concepts, Vulnerability Analysis, Architecture Design, IV&V and Cybersecurity Case.
• Working with our partners to develop innovative cybersecurity safeguards considering as a minimum, feasibility, through lifecycle ease of use and functional safety.
• Initiating sub-system design reviews as necessary to resolve cybersecurity concerns.
• Initiating and conducting meetings with suppliers and Technical Partners as required, monitoring supplier progress against plan.
• Leading system review, verification & validation activities including functional tests, penetration testing, ISO26262 functional safety and other tests throughout the development lifecycle.

Who you are:

• Cybersecurity related degree or equivalent experience
• Demonstrates resilience and fosters good working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
• Experience working within an ISO21434 compliant Cybersecurity Management Systems (CSMS).
• Understanding of Cybersecurity Governance, Requirements, Compliance (GRC) and mitigation design
• Good understanding of systems engineering and software development methodologies.
