Job Description

As the Cyber Security Engineer Lead for Assystem, you will be instrumental in securing the operational technology (OT) aspects of our nuclear projects. This role focuses on safeguarding the Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems at HPC from cyber threats during storage, installation, and commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and lead the OT Commissioning Security Plan according to I&C Site Security Arrangements Guidance.
• Serve as the primary cyber security contact during HPC construction, ensuring comprehensive protection against cyber threats.
• Collaborate closely with the commissioning team and Cyber Security & Information Assurance Manager to maintain and enhance security measures.
• Conduct risk assessments, develop security protocols, and provide expert advice on cybersecurity best practices.
• Support ongoing assurance activities and manage cybersecurity aspects of supplier arrangements during project phases.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Must be eligible for SC Clearance (Non-UK Residents cannot be considered)
• Degree in a related field or substantial relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of OT risk management, cyber threats, and I&C systems operations.
• Expertise in information security standards like ISO27000, NCSC, GDPR, and ICS standards such as IEC 62443, NIST SP.
• Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with key project stakeholders.

Desirable Attributes:

• Prior experience with I&C systems in a nuclear environment.
• Recognized certifications (ISC2 CISSP, GIAC GICSP).
• Familiarity with nuclear security regulations and standards (NISR 2003, ONR Security Assessment Principles).
• Proven track record in a large-scale project environment.
