Security Administration, Advisor

Responsibilities

The Department of Interior (DOI) CHS III program will be leading the way for Cloud Hosting and Applications Modernization across DOI and its subordinate bureaus. CHS III will facilitate migration of legacy on-premises applications to a modern, secure and scalable multi-cloud platform.  From sensors in active volcanic regions to earthquake detection data, CHS III will be DOI's central cloud processing and data solution. 

 

The Security Administrator is expected to have experience securing cloud-based workloads and ensuring security best-practices are followed is required.  Responsible for A&A ATO documentation (SSPP, CP, CM, FIPS-199).  Experience with obtaining FISMA and NIST Compliance is required.  

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
• US Citizenship is Required.
• An Active Public Trust or ability to Obtain one is required. 
• Candidate must have one of the following Certifications:
• • Security+
  • CISSP

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS KMS, IAM, Cloudwatch is a plus. 
• Preferred experience with two or more of the following AWS Technologies:   
• Administering AWS VPC’s 
• Amazon Guard Duty 
• AWS Shield Advanced 
• AWS CloudTrail 
• One of the following certifications is preferred: 
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
