Copper River Cyber Solutions is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our team in support of a new contract at the Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Responsiveness. This position will be performed remotely with the occasional need for an onsite meeting in the Washington D.C. area.

The Senior DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for all aspects of DevSecOps management in the operation of networks and/or security systems. Must stay current with latest developments in network, security, and other LAN technology. Working with Project Team Leads and Project Managers to produce the highest quality products.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Serve as the Senior DevSecOps Engineer
  • Serve as implementation engineer for assigned engagements, managing implementation including demonstrating technical reviews, and conversing with stakeholders and others on the engagement team
  • Work closely with the operations team to develop and manage engagement and implement security monitoring and controls to current and newly acquired cloud accounts
  • Work with others on the engagement team to provide status, coordination, and quality assurance of all technical deliverables of the assigned engagements
  • Provide DevSecOps expertise the process flow of internal and external reviews of implementation activities, operational documentation, deliverables, and implement critical mitigation plans and hot fixes from findings
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with reusable Git/CodeCommit Actions templates for various cloud deployment patterns
  • Build and implement DevSecOps processes, governance, and reporting
  • Experience using automation and scripting to deploy and monitor systems
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure consistent and secure application deployments
  • Perform and coordinate internal and external security audits of corporate infrastructure, code, and applications
  • Confident in working with cross-functional teams to build communication strategies and tactics with an unwavering focus on technical engagement
  • Ability to comprehend and explain complex concepts and initiatives to audiences that have various levels of understanding
  • Experience and confidence working with and writing for executives
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion, manage multiple tasks with competing priorities and handle variable workloads
  • Staying current with latest developments in network, security, and other LAN technology
  • Producing quality documentation
  • Participate in internal planning and reporting processes
  • Work with Project Team Leads
  • Ensure standards are followed as directed by Project Team Leads
  • Participate in special projects as required

Requirements:

  • Clearance:
    • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • Education:
    • Bachelors degree or prior, relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience
    • Experience with DevSecOps environments
    • Experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting, analyzing, and maintaining on prem and cloud DevSecOps environments
    • Experience managing, configurating, and supporting DevSecOps environments
    • Experience with AWS Storage
    • Experience performing DevSecOps upgrades
    • Experience creating and presenting technical specifications and requirements
    • Experience producing quality documentation
    • Experience working with Federal government clients
  • Preferred Skills:
    • DevSecOps knowledge and experience
    • Cloud knowledge and experience
    • Cyber Security knowledge and experience
    • Microsoft 365 knowledge and experience a plus
    • SharePoint knowledge and experience a plus
    • Platform and data migration knowledge and experience a plus
