  The Security Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining the organization’s Security Architecture. This includes implementing security solutions that are aligned with business systems. Develops and maintains security strategy objectives and performs security assessments of current and future systems. Validating that appropriate Security Controls are in place for in-house developed applications and coordinates appropriate mitigations if gaps are identified.
  Responsibilities:
  • Design, review and assess Security Controls in application development as part of our software development lifecycle.
  • Conduct security assessments of internal systems, applications, and IT infrastructure as part of the overall risk management practice of the organization.
  • Participate in application and infrastructure projects to provide security planning and implementation.
  • Coordinates, negotiates, and administers security vendor proposals and existing agreements, along with conducting performance assessments to ensure vendors are aligned with the organization’s IT standards.
  • Coordinate and plan mitigation of identified Security control gaps in applications, networks systems and software development.
  • Act as an escalation path to Security issues and lead forensic investigations.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, and/or Information Security, and/or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in IT Security
  • Experience in using architecture methodologies.
  • Direct, hands-on experience managing security application architecture and performing security assessments.
  • CISSP Certification and other Security related certifications are preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, planning, analysis and organizing skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  For positions that are permitted or required to work remotely, employees may conduct work only within the United States and only in states where the Company is already conducting business, unless for brief periods, consistent with Company policy.
  In the states of Colorado, California, Washington, and Illinois; the anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $102,753 to $128,441.  Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience. 
  • Position is also eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.

The Company provides 9 paid holidays per year and, upon hire, new employees will accrue paid time off (PTO) at a rate of 0.0577 hours of PTO per hour worked, up to a maximum of 120 hours per year.
