Engineer - Data Services, Cyber Defence

About the Role

As an Engineer in our Data Services, Cyber Defence you’ll play a key role in helping to keep the bank safe by managing & maintaining all ANZ’s SIEM data gathering are captured by Splunk Enterprise Security. This role is responsible for designing, building, testing and supporting the Security Incidents & Event Management solutions and/or our underlying bank infrastructure.  You will be working closely with members of a multi-disciplinary squad operating from Melbourne, Manila and Bengaluru to ensure outcomes exceed our customers’ expectations.

What will your day look like?

As an Engineer, you will also be responsible the following key priorities and products/applications:

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Have a thirst and willingness to expand knowledge with new technologies bringing benefits into the Tribe
• Pays attention to the detail and demonstrates problem solving capability to develop and deliver quality solutions
• Understanding of current state landscape and relevant technologies
• A degree in Information Security or Computer Science or Cyber Security or Information Technology.
• Extensive years of technical experience, including strong experience in security services.
• Experience operating, troubleshooting, installing, and configuring of Cloudera Products NiFi, MiniFi AND Data Onboarding
• Experience operating, troubleshooting Apache Kafka
• Functional understanding of scripting languages & automations (JavaScript, Python, Puppet, Batch, Powershell, etc.)
• Experience to CI/CD tooling such as GitHub, Bamboo/Jenkins, Docker/Podman, CodeFresh
• Experience working on servers administrations such as Redhat & Windows
• Working knowledge of Cloud Computing AWS, Azure & GCP
• Working knowledge of Network technologies such as routing, switching, firewalls etc.
• Working knowledge of Confluence, Jira, Service Now, etc.
