Overview:

The Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa team is looking for a Security Operations Lead to secure our people and business to thrive in a world beyond cash. The best fit candidate will be an excellent team player with a strong service-centric mentality. The role holder will work with unerring vigilance to develop, implement, and upgrade the regional security platform, policies, risk, and compliance management operations to prevent loss or damage of human, physical and intellectual assets in relation to risk exposure. The Security Operations Lead, Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa (EEMEA) will continuously seek to simplify and improve processes. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high-energy environment. They will be a creative and analytical problem solver with a passion for delivering results.

Role:

•Support security enterprise security risk management agenda for Divisional security officers reporting to the EEMEA Regional Chief Security Officer (RCSO) to protect MC's assets – including people, facilities, technology and information.
•Support and delivery of service engagements for assessing and evaluating security risks associated with business travel, Executive Protection, event security, information protection programs, site security, business projects, and regulatory requirements etc.
•Collaborate with Crisis Management, People & Capabilities, Real Estate Services, etc. to ensure the All Hazards Plan and office Crisis Response Plan addresses applicable threat and risk e.g. natural disasters, fires, crime, terrorism, etc. throughout EEMEA.
•Collaborate closely with Sourcing to ensure procurement activity addresses security risks for protective security efforts, and capability/product delivery.
•Ensure ongoing security service provider coverage for EEMEA region through cultivation of vendor relationships and collaboration with Sourcing delegates on fulfillment of contract sourcing process end-to-end.
•Act as subject matter expert and delegate to enable evaluation of security vendors in collaboration with Technology and Sourcing delegates.
•Assist in the provision of oversight, guidance, and direction to Mastercard guarding teams at EEMEA regional locations.
•Assist in the identification, assessment, monitoring, and management of corporate travel activity to mitigate risk to Mastercard colleagues for business travel within EEMEA.
•Conduct security risk assessments of regional corporate sites hosting Mastercard assets, e.g. data centers, fixed office and managed suites as needed in collaboration with market business leadership and Real Estate Services.
•Provide security assurance to Mastercard on-soil data centers including routine liaison with vendor points of contact and annual inspection of Data Centers across EEMEA or as directed by Regional Chief Security Officer.
•With the support of other specialist functions, formalize regional security business continuity plans and implement necessary arrangements and solutions.
•Support security systems services and coordinates new security systems installations with regional security systems vendors ensuring regular maintenance and servicing by the vendors through close collaboration with global stakeholders and facility management team.
•Maintain knowledge of complex industry trends, current security issues and security technology and update management on risks and threats that could impact the company business.
•Any other security related taskings as directed by the Regional Chief Security Officer.

All About You:

•Strong experience as a security professional.
•It is desirable that the candidate have had demonstrable experience working within complex, Global organizations, serving high threat markets.
•Proven track record of delivering security services and operations in a highly volatile and sensitive environment.
•It is desirable to have knowledge of principles of personnel protection and demonstrable experience planning & executing executive protection tasks.
•Ability to communicate with senior management, on threat assessment, security requirements and provide timely and actionable recommendations.
•Be sensitive to processes, and have clear, logical thinking for related duties.
•Team player with strong communication skills and can handle high pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
•Passion to continuously improve and keenness to work in a dynamic environment that is leading the digital evolution in payments and technology.
•It is desirable that the candidate has demonstrable experience working in the Middle East and North Africa.
•Must have the capacity to travel throughout Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. Travel within region is at least 25 %.
•It is desirable that the successful candidate speaks French and Arabic.
•Candidate must speak English fluently.
