  • MTN vision has grown toward new business stream such as Mobile Financial, Digital, ICT and Enterprise business services. This revolution comes with many opportunities for communication, knowledge sharing, but also with cyber criminality risks leading to new challenges and threats on information security.  In order to support the business along its strategic objectives, there is an urgent need to expand objectives of information security from corporate security to security across Business streams.
  • Following the TOM (Target Operating Model) that led to merge the former IT and Network Department to a single Technology Department, there is a necessity to develop an approach to IT Governance, including the identification and implementation of acknowledged good practice across. 

The Senior Manager Enterprise Information Security will be responsible to define and implement the strategy to manage, monitor and report on the systems and processes that support governance, risks and Enterprise Information security within Technology Department and across the enterprise.

Continuous Risk & Compliance Management & Reporting

  • Perform and encourage continuous and effective risk management practice within your activities.
  • Promote risk-based decision taken. Ensure effective escalation of key risks, compliance breach and non-ethical issues. 
  • Demonstrate and encourage ethical behaviors. Promote Business continuity best practices and compliance to applicable regulations and internal PPPs (Policy, Process and Procedures).

 

  • To define information security strategy and Provide executive support, planning, innovation and direction of information and cyber security that support the execution of strategic business plans. 
  • Assist and support effective Information & Technology governance and coordinate good practice adoption across the Technology Department.
  • OPEX budget saving versus allowed budget
  • Network NPS (Net Promoter Score)
  • Compliance with MTN Group IT KPIs target
  • MTTR (Mean Time to Repair or Resolve IT issues)
  • % network changes completed successfully and within the process
  • Proactive monitoring of all systems metrics
  • Preventive Maintenance completion rate

  • Set goals and objectives for direct reports, monitor progress and maintain motivation

Education:                                                                                                                                         

  • Engineering/ Information Science Degree
  • Master’s in information science will be advantageous
  • Possession of an MBA/ Masters will be advantageous
  • Fluent in English and French 

Experience:

Minimum 10 years’ experience including: 

  • 5 years’ experience in managing information security in a medium to large organization; of which at least large organization 3 years are in leading and managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects.
  • Experience in designing and implementing organization wide information security framework
  • Experience in Stakeholder management, with ability to work with all levels of the management within the company.
  • Experience at a management level evaluating and managing risk and compliance issues in a Telco environment.
  • Experience with Business Continuity Management
  • Experience with budgeting processes

Knowledge

Knowledge and understanding of the information technology environment in a telecommunication industry. 

Knowledge of IT technology domain including application platform development, application support, infrastructure platforms, data management and database technologies and security frameworks and tools
