The position in discussion is with the Cyber- Transformation team at KPMG Global Services (KGS), which is KPMG’s global delivery center and is an integral part of the firm’s strategy to enhance innovation, build scalability, and improve profitability, globally. 

Roles and responsibilities

Working as an IAM Architect in this team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leads the collection of business requirements and creates the design/architecture used in implementation of complex IDM and IAM solutions
  • Perform assessment on current state IAM and propose strategy and roadmap of future state.
  • Mentor, coach and lead the implementation team, contributing for all technical deliverables
  • Review technical deliverables created by the implementation team
  • Ensure that implementations conform to industry-standard IAM best practices
  • Create and maintain functional design specifications
  • Coordinate and communicate with technical and business stakeholders
  • Ensure timely execution and delivery of assigned project deliverables
  • Assist customers with process modelling, analysis and governance
  • Work with geographically distributed teams and in a growing virtual workplace
  • Be part of and contribute to a large, dynamic and growing IAM practice
  • Contribute to thought leadership, innovation, ideation and implementation of accelerators for efficient delivery
  • Be a quality champion, ensure impeccable quality in all client deliverables

The Individual

  • 15+ years hands-on experience on one or more Identity and Access Management tools such as SailPoint IdentityIQ, IdentityNow, Oracle Identity Manager, ForgeRock, Okta, Saviynt, and Ping
  • Experience in designing logical and physical architecture for complex, multi-tier IAM implementations and integrations
  • IAM solution architecture experience for large scale enterprises.
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented programming, and common programming practices
  • Expertise with Windows and/or Unix Operating Systems
  • Expertise in one of the following application servers: Oracle Weblogic, IBM WebSphere, JBOSS, Tomcat
  • Working knowledge of SAML, SPML, SOAP, BPEL and web services
  • Hands-on experience with Enterprise LDAP implementations
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory and strong familiarity with AD infrastructure methodology
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following RDBMS systems: Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, including strong SQL query skills
  • Understanding of Role Based Access Controls (RBAC) including top-down and bottom-up role modeling methodologies
  • Demonstrable grasp of best practices for IAM projects and industry trends
  • Experience on version control systems like GitHub, SVN, CVS etc.
  • Experience in using collaboration and delivery tools such as Confluence, Jira, Clarizen etc.
  • Relevant professional certifications like SailPoint, Okta, ForgeRock, CISSP etc. will be an added advantage

Experience & Background

  • 15+ years of IT experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (B-Tech, B.E, MCA) from a reputed college
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a strong customer focus and demonstrable ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Expertise in developing in-depth system configuration documentation
  • Ability to devise creative solutions to complex technical and architectural issues
  • Excels at presenting to business and technical stakeholders
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Should be flexible to travel on short term business assignments
