This position focuses on the study of web 3.0 in the context of telecommunications. Augmented with web 3.0, especially distributed ledger technologies (DLT) and artificial intelligence (AI), the next-generation network is expected to provide more intelligent, distributed, and automated connections for all the connected organizations and infrastructures. Despite all these advantages, the integration of web 3.0 in telecom still faces many challenges, especially when a variety of blockchains are adopted. 

 

One possible research direction in this area is to improve the trust management of network resources across heterogeneous blockchain networks. The aim is to develop a secure, automated framework that support the trust management of network resources in different enterprise blockchains. 

Ideally, you have a bachelor's degree and are working towards a master’s / PHD's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or Cybersecurity or a related area. You are interested in technical research and hands-on development of prototypes and proof of concepts of your work. You have coding experience (e.g. Linux, Git, python), Familiarity with Hyperledger Fabric or other blockchain implementations. Knowledge of security protocols (such as ZKP, MPC) are considered a plus.
