About the team + role

Robinhood's Cloud Security team is looking for a cloud security domain expert to build security controls on Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role you will exemplify our Safety First value by making our cloud platform safe by default and providing Robinhood developers with paved roads and security services that help them protect their applications.

We are only interested in candidates available for full-time roles.

What we expect you’ll do day-to-day:

• You will use a first principles mindset and a broad range of languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies to assess and continuously improve the security of Robinhood's cloud environments.
• You will apply your deep expertise in automation, AWS security, and industry benchmarks to ensure that Robinhood applications are built on a secure foundation.
• You will work backward from business stakeholders, product owners, and engineers across Robinhood to build security services and capabilities that make it easier for developers protect their applications

About you:

• 4+ years' experience in full-stack software engineering in a large scale, cloud native environment with many customers and diverse use cases
• 2+ years' experience developing and implementing automation and security controls on AWS
• You are highly proficient with modern programming languages like Golang and Python, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, and are a deep AWS domain expert.
• You are an excellent communicator and are comfortable discussing complex technical concepts with engineers and partners at any role or level

• Golang (preferred) or Python
• Terraform
• Deep subject matter expert in AWS, automation, and cloud security controls.
