Cyber Security Solutions Engineer/Architect

Responsibilities

Peraton is currently seeking skilled and qualified candidates for their Cyber Security Solutions Engineer/Architect position located in Falls Church, VA for the Postal TSS program. This position may be allowed remote for the strongly qualified candidates. This position will lead special projects or investigations into specific technology or solution issues and to shepherd research and piloting of new technologies. Serve as a point of contact for engineering efforts and has overall responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the customer's private enclave while maintaining compliance with the customer's enterprise-wide architecture policies and guidelines.

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

• Follow up with site administrators for status on non-compliant platforms and maintain any necessary exception documentation.
• Configure and maintain IDS/IPS policies.
• Perform database maintenance on IDS/IPS management consoles.
• Maintain documentation for exceptions to standards.
• Provides timely and adequate response to threats/alerts, including off-hour support.
• Lead special projects or investigations into specific technology or solution issues.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years’ experience, Master’s degree with 6+ years’ experience or high school diploma/GED with 12+ years’ experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship
• Experience with database maintenance on IDS/IPS management consoles
• Experience configuring and maintaining IDS/IPS policies.
• Experience with investigations and solution issues.
• Certification in at least ONE of the following: CompTIA Net+, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+. CPTE or CISSP

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
