The Cyber Security Engineer Intern will be responsible for learning cloud security every day!  You will have the opportunity to be “hands on keyboard” daily, with cloud native and aftermarket cybersecurity tools to include some of the cybersecurity industry’s newest startups. The candidate will be challenged to “think outside the box” to solve complex security engineering challenges with the chance to help make a significant impact to our organization. This role can be in Malvern PA or Atlanta GA.

Responsibilities:

  • Run vulnerability scans and prioritize security findings for remediation across infrastructure, apps, network, and support in researching risk remediation solutions.
  • Automate, where possible, remediation of cloud security vulnerabilities and findings.
  • Support integrating CI/CD security capabilities into DevOps pipelines to facilitate self-service.
  • Help develop standards operating procedures (SOPs) and relevant process documentation to support engineering excellence.
  • Develop and/or Support implementing cloud native security capabilities aligned to hardening guidelines and regulatory/compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with teammates and support implementing & managing security capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Passion for Cybersecurity and desire to learn.
  • Foundational understanding of operating system and software defects and flaws.
  • Experience with python or other scripting languages.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to roll up sleeves to get the (right) job done.
  • Ability to drive results and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired.
  • Passion for solving problems (large and small.)
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to meet and exceed deadlines with composure.
