Job Description

Tasks:

  • As a Cyber Security Engineer in Network Security Monitoring team, you will be responsible for the installation, automation, operation and monitoring of our platforms within the Bosch Corporate Cyber Security.
  • You will work closely within cross-functional teams to operate:
    • Intrusion Detection Systems based on firewalls (IDS),
    • Network Detection & Response systems (NDR),
    • Privileged Session Monitoring systems (PSM) and
    • System management applications on Linux servers.
  • Be part of an international team providing the network monitoring infrastructure for over 400’000 endpoints in 450 locations.
  • To continuously improve the “Network Security Monitoring” landscape, you will implement new technical and organizational requirements and enjoy refining and testing new approaches to automate our configuration management.

Qualifications

Profile:

  • Education: Completed degree (Bachelor or Master) with a focus in information technology (Computer Science etc.) or similar qualification. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA) are a plus.
  • Working experience:
    • Hands-on experience in the operation of infrastructure technologies such as firewalls, networks and virtualization environments (IDS, ESX, CheckMK, Grafana, Splunk).
    • Proficiency in scripting and automation for security-related tasks is highly desirable (Ansible, Terraform, Git, Jenkins, Shell-Scripting).
    • Knowledge in internet protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS) plus operating systems (Linux, Windows).
  • Personality: Reliable, communicative and open mindset for virtual collaboration in internationally distributed teams.
  • Working practice: Profound analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English, nice to have German skills.
