About the Job

As a subject matter expert (SME), support a continuous stream of activity to minimize vulnerability. Immediately support operational vulnerability discovery and lifecycle tracking across network infrastructure, computer systems, and installed applications. Team’s scope will mature to include internal software services, cloud platform services, and industrial control systems.

Additional responsibilities include:  Foster collaboration and information sharing between cybersecurity teams. Provide global incident response support, as needed, to cybersecurity’s Incident Response Team.

Job description

  • Operate a high performance vulnerability management program at global scale.
  • Help to define and operate highly scalable processes that are repeatable, automated whenever possible, and logically modular.
  • Enable successful outcomes by understanding business motivations, possible compensating controls, and means to achieve appropriate risk using a minimum of time and money.
  • Clearly identify and escalate remediation failures to management until addressed and resolved in manner consistent with industry best practice.
  • Assist with reporting of metrics and key performance indicators (KPI) that monitor overall health and effectiveness of vulnerability management program.
  • Advise on the technology and capability roadmaps for Vulnerability Management.
  • Improve or develop cybersecurity policies, standards and best practices that support vulnerability management.
  • communicate clearly and with purpose;
  • Communicate effectively across multiple audiences that will include: technical and non-technical business owners, application owners, traditional IT systems and networking, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and software development.
  • Build partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • distil complex information for an intelligent non-technical audience;
  • identify relevant institutional knowledge gaps. Target new and effective communication
  • Seek and identify opportunities to better leverage what works and improve what does not

About you

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline such as computer engineering, computer science or in a related course
  • Certifications: CEH, CISA, GSEC and/or CISSP (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of relevant technology experience
  • 2 or more years of relevant security experience, such as: Vulnerability Management, DevSecOps, application security (or equivalent);
  • Experience with vulnerability management programs
  • Proven experience defining logical business process
  • Proven experience with risk assessment methodologies
  • Experience working in very large enterprise or within large technology environments (Global 2000 company or enterprise of similar scale);
  • Successful work in an English language company.

    • Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider
    • Technical Project Manager

Technical Skills

  • Rapid7 Nexpose, metasploit, and InsightVM; (preferred)
  • Microsoft Threat and Vulnerability Management (T&VM), Azure security center security baselines; (preferred)
  • Tenable Nessus and Security Center; 
  • Qualys Vulnerability Management; 
  • Core Impact; 
  • BeyondTrust Retina; 
  • OpenVAS;

Require:

  • Windows Server Expertise, and
  • RHEL Server Expertise, or
  • Debian or Ubuntu Server Expertise

One or more preferred:

  • Contrast Security Protect; Rapid7 Appspider; Whitehat Sentinel and Scout; IBM App Scan; HP Fortify; Vericode Testing Suite; Checkmarx CxSAST, CxAudit, and Open Source Analysis (OSA); Burp Suite Enterprise; and/or OWASP Zed Attack Proxy (ZAP)
  • Denim ThreadFix; Atlassian Jira; and/or ServiceNow Security Operations
  • Nucleus, RiskSense, ThreatQuotient, and/or Kenna Security

One or more preferred:

  • Powershell, Python, Ruby, GoLang, or bash script

One or more preferred:

  • Network IPS and firewall: Palo Alto Networks (preferred), Cisco (preferred), Juniper, Checkpoint;
  • Host EDR: Microsoft (Defender for Endpoint (MDATP) preferred), Symantec, Trend, McAfee, Cylance, CarbonBlack, SentinelOne, or Crowdstrike
