As a Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls team, you are an integral part of team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions with tamper-proof, audit defensible methods across multiple technical areas within various business functions. 

Job responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test and deploy Java and Python applications to DEV, Test and PROD environments
  • Work with product owners to gather requirements, understand, design scalable and secure applications. Work in an agile environment and deliver features in 2 week sprint cycles
  • Perform security validation, performance tuning and apply software engineering best practices. Support/maintain applications post-production deployment (DevOps)
  • Develop enterprise scale applications including RESTful/microservices using Java spring, spring boot, ORM, python, Oracle and noSQL database
  • Automate deployment and infrastructure pipelines in both on-prem and public cloud environments
  • Write unit/integration test cases for the application modules. Create Software documentation and operational run books

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands on experience working in Java: Spring, Spring boot frameworks
  • Hands on experience in RESTful/microservices 
  • Hands on experience developing and deploying applications in AWS - EC2, IAM, S3, Lambda, eks, API gateway etc
  • Hands on experience working on relational/NoSql databases, SQL and ORM technologies(JPA, hibernate etc.,)
  • Excellent knowledge of Object Oriented concepts, analysis and design using common design patterns

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Hands on experience in Python development
  • Public cloud native experience
