Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Lead Cyber Security Engineer to join our team. This is a remote opportunity. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Develop technical capabilities and methods to deliver the best cyber defense capability to protect IT assets from cyber threats, attacks, and exploitation  

  • Assist in developing and enhancing the security roles, policies, and controls implemented on the security devices.    

  • Troubleshooting and solve the problems/issues on security devices  

  • Provide critical input into the selection, configuration, and implementation of new and existing security technology solutions  

  • Develop, build and lead security service provider relationship(s) including, but not limited to use case development, service level agreements, and work-flow/process development for Security Operations Center (SOC)  

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems and/or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred; however, equivalent years of hands-on engineering experience, education and certifications may be considered in lieu of educational requirements  

  • 9+ of experience related to cyber security operations, cyber incident response, or related IA/Security experience along with experience working in Information Technology engineering  

  • A demonstrable breadth of experience and knowledge across multiple security disciplines including security architecture, network security, cloud security, endpoint security, email security, privilege access, security operations center, vulnerability management, and incident response  

  • Experience and skill working within a Cybersecurity Operations Center environment  

  • Experience and skill with COTS technologies used in a Cybersecurity Engineering environment  

  • IAT Level II (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND or SSCP) certification required  

  • CISSP certification 

  • Knowledge and understanding of Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) technologies design and implementation  

  • Experience in computer evidence seizure, computer forensic analysis, and data recovery, and/or Computer network forensics  

  • Applicants must be able to work in a team environment  

  • Ability to handle stress and work well under pressure  

  • Ability to use PC, MS Office, Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills 

  • Interpersonal and People Skills with Multi-Tasking  

 

Security Clearance Requirements: 

  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain up to a Public Trust 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% 

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. 

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations 

The projected compensation range for this position is $141,100-$234,400. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
