Senior Consultant, Cybersecurity - Governance & Compliance- Chennai,India

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer (Cybersecurity) with 3 to 7 years of experience to join the NIQ Cyber Governance and Compliance team to assist with the continued buildout, integration, and maintenance of NIQ Cybersecurity Policies, Standards, and Procedures.

A successful candidate will be responsible for writing, updating, and maintaining technical cybersecurity policy documents applicable to an enterprise level company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity policy, standard, and procedure documents: Write clear, concise, and comprehensive cybersecurity documents that meet the maturity and needs of the organization.
  • Policy Integration: Work with stakeholders across the globe to coordinate the integration of policy between NIQ and its partners/subsidiaries as a result of Merger and Acquisition activities.
  • Policy Governance: Track the status of Cybersecurity documents to ensure they are regularly reviewed, revised, and published for consumption by end users.
  • Independently complete assignments: Break down complex tasks, make reasonable decisions, and work within an established framework.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work directly with stakeholders from various departments (such as Human Resources and Legal) and teams within Cybersecurity (such as Security Architecture, Security Engineering, Strategy, etc.) to understand and incorporate their needs into technical documentation as needed.
  • Perform Research: Fill gaps in existing documentation and processes by performing research into best practices and requirements as needed.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience with writing technical cybersecurity documents.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and frameworks/standards such as (NIST SP800-53, NIST CSF, ISO27001, Center for Internet Security Critical Security Controls etc.) .
  • Familiarity with relevant Security and Privacy laws and regulations. (GDPR, CCPA, SOX, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Extensive experience with the Microsoft Suite of Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Experience working directly with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, technical writing, or a related field.
