Compliance Analyst -

A Sanctions Compliance Analyst would assist in implementing the day-to-day responsibilities of the sanctions compliance program at Remitly. This role will be responsible for supporting both ongoing testing, reporting, and analysis as well as special projects, exams, and other ad hoc activities, as required. At the direction of the Global Head of Sanctions or the Sanctions Manager, the Sanctions Compliance Analyst would liaise with other stakeholders at Remitly to ensure timely and accurate collection and reporting of data regarding the sanctions-related topics. The Sanctions Compliance Analyst will serve as a primary point of contact and champion for matters related to LexisNexis Bridger, ComplyAdvantage, and other screening tools, as applicable.

You Will:

  • Coordinate the completion of all regulatory reporting for sanctions (e.g., initial blocking and reject reports and  Annual Reports of Blocked Property as well as providing information to complete reports required outside the U.S. to support reporting by regional compliance, as applicable)

  • Coordinate Key Risk Indicators/Key Performance Indicators metrics for monthly reporting

  • Perform initial analysis regarding any material changes

  • Support examination inquiries including evidence of screening and coordinating sanctions-related responses with other exam management stakeholders

  • Support testing of list screening capabilities to support new countries and licenses

  • Review continuous monitoring alerts in ComplyAdvantage for partners

  • Conduct periodic reviews of high risk partners on an ongoing basis

  • Conduct look backs to determine if new sanctions targets had previously transacted with Remitly prior to designation

  • Perform periodic testing on Bridger/Comply Advantage

  • Quarterly reviews to ensure names are added or removed, as expected

  • Provide vendor/employee/BPO employee screening support

  • Remove names from the Allow List, as needed

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited University in Business, Information Systems, Accounting, or Finance.

  • 3-5+ years of experience in Compliance, Due Diligence, KYC.

  • Must be technically adaptable and able to be comfortable with systems/process analysis.

  • Experience in process mapping techniques, design and analysis of processes, systems and organizations.

  • Experience conducting testing projects in the technology, compliance, and regulatory space.

  • Strong focus on quality and attention to details.

  • Strong project management and communication skills.

  • Exceptional analytical skills with a strong focus on technology, financial, and compliance risk.

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and flowcharts (e.g. Lucidchart/Visio)

  • Preferred: Experience associated to Anti-Money Laundering /Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT), Consumer Protection or Consumer Fraud compliance.

  • Preferred: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP); Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or equivalent.

  • Preferred: Experience with data analytics and data analytics tools (Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, Snowflake or Microsoft Excel).
