Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Engineer with Cybersecurity background and experience. The right candidate shall have a proven skill set, experience and working knowledge of solution designing, configuration of Build of Materials (BOM), Performing Proof of Concept (POC) and Technical Enablement for cybersecurity.

You shall possess a strong presale skill of consultative or facilitative style and will be experienced in handling the technical requests in complex, multi-stakeholder environments from initial engagement right through to project closeout and as well as ongoing project with technical advisory. We are also seeking this candidate who is pleasant in conversing and presenting to customer and be a good in both oral and written communicator.

The Technical Sales Engineer should be a good team player and exhibit the broad product knowledge integrated with strong technology understanding and would be in possession of vendor product, sales and technology certifications. You practice bilateral communications, by listens and understands the other’s point of view and demonstrate the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, contributing to their success.

Responsibilities:

The role includes day to day duties in the following areas:

• Pre-sales support for Cybersecurity technologies and solutions and identify and analyze customer’s requirements and architecture.
• Solution design proposal preparation for bids and projects which includes proposed security architecture and sizing, and ensure to meet project dateline at all time.
• Provide technical sales advice/support for security solution including sizing, licensing, technical advice, presentation, proof of concepts, demonstration, and troubleshooting.
• Perform project assessment, consultative services when meeting with prospects.
• Perform site survey and assess customer’s IT infrastructure.
• Work with vendors, system integrators and end users when prospecting for business opportunities, includes product presentation & technical enablement.
• Work with internal Product Managers & Business Managers to design marketing programs.
• To meet vendor’s certification requirement

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Computer Engineering (Network/Security) or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of working experience in cybersecurity related field.
• Should have good fundamental knowledge in Cybersecurity, related solutions such as Next Generation Firewall (NGFW), SD-WAN, Cloud Security, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Zero Trust Access (ZTA), Security Operations (XDR, SIEM and SOAR) and others.
• Preferable candidate with strong knowledge on API Integration & Scripting (Python, JSON).
• Related Cybersecurity certification will be advantage.
• Good in presentation skills and able to articulate the technology and solution to customer.
• Receptive to working independently and support the business growth.
• Good in problem solving, interpersonal, self-motivated, and fast learner.
• Accountable to assisting the business managers in meeting monthly and quarterly sales quota.
• A keen, positive attitude individual as well as effective team player.
