Elastic is searching for an extraordinary Product Manager to join the Elastic Security product team with a specific focus on security data analytics for our security solution. As Product Manager, Security Analytics, you’ll report into the Senior Director of Product Management. As a member of the security product team, your responsibilities will include helping to execute the product strategy and roadmap for the Elastic Security solution, specifically focusing on the application of analytics to customer value reports and internal product development processes. 

 Your key tasks will include:

  • Orchestrating the acquisition and sharing of existing product-related telemetry for Elastic Security, including customer acquisition and onboarding workflows
  • Leading the effective execution of product management planning processes and prioritization of development themes
  • Developing, curating, and communicating compelling insights, summaries and reports based on captured telemetry and business results

Skills - You can:

  • Effectively interact with and influence the work of product managers, security researchers, engineers, data scientists, software developers, and senior managers
  • Understand both business results and user outcomes when analyzing data

Knowledge - You know a lot about:

  • Data management and analysis tools, including Kibana, Tableau, Looker Studio, and more
  • Product Analytic tools, such as FullStory
  • Data platforms and warehouses such as Elasticsearch, BigQuery, and others
  • Working closely with data researchers and engineers, ensuring data quality, enrichment, and a robust data pipeline
  • Software product usage patterns, deployments, telemetry, instrumentation, and a view of how they interoperate in cloud-hosted and self-managed deployments

Experience - You've succeeded for at least:

  • 2 years in product management in a data analytics or data platform role
  • 3 years in other roles such as software engineering, sales engineering, customer support, product design, or user research

Proficiency and Education - You have:

  • Passion for analytics, numbers, understanding, and explaining
  • Love for being an expert on a topic
  • Attention to details and an ability to appreciate Gestalt principles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and practices (sharing is caring)
  • Excitement for learning about cyber security and its challenges
  • Technical or Business degree, MBA or equivalent preferred

Location and Travel:

  • This is a distributed position, with preferred location in Eastern United States or Canada
  • Travel up to 5% supporting in-person interactions is expected


Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary.  This role does not have a variable compensation component.  

The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below.  In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below. 

These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.  

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.  Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.

The typical starting salary range for this role is:$126,800—$200,600 USDThe typical starting salary range for this role in the select locations listed above is:$152,200—$240,800 USD
