About the role

Meter’s mission is to make businesses more productive and secure through providing best-in-class internet infrastructure. Our customers chose Meter for a simple, seamless network experience. Our Technical Support Engineering team is critical to meeting this expectation. The team is small but growing, and as an early member you will have a large impact in forming the foundation of the Technical Support Engineering team and role.

You will work across our full networking product stack and will serve as the subject matter expert for security, firewall, and VPN escalations. 

This is a hybrid role based out of our SF office. 

You will have an impact by
  • Acting as the technical resolution owner 
  • Reviewing reported issues and collaborating with internal teams to accurately scope the problem
  • Analyzing data and proposing next steps for resolution
  • Developing plans to replicate customer issues for faster resolution
  • Navigating technical and political conversations effectively
  • Collaborating with product and engineering teams to address and remediate issues
  • Contributing to the knowledge base through documentation and training
  • Attending industry meetups, webinars, and conferences to stay updated
You might be a good fit if you
  • Have 2-3 years of experience in security technologies and firewall products
  • Are proficient in networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, RADIUS, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, VPN)
  • Are comfortable with troubleshooting complex network systems, security and implementation of routing, switching, firewalls, wireless and resolving network issues
  • Have proficiency in customer service and stakeholder management, including the ability to lead and navigate challenging conversations
  • Have excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Have experience in programming and automation
  • Are open to occasional travel (10-15%)
