We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Specialist/Consultant (5+ years) to join our team in our Raleigh office. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies, along with a proven track record of successfully implementing cybersecurity solutions for a variety of clients across different industries. The Cyber Security Specialist Consultant will be responsible for assessing clients' cybersecurity needs, developing customized security strategies and solutions, and providing expert guidance and support to ensure the protection of sensitive information and assets from cyber threats.

Qualifications

Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.  
  • Higher Degree such as Masters or Ph.D (preferred, but not required)
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience working as a cybersecurity specialist or consultant, with a minimum of 5 years in the field.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, methodologies, and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, etc.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex cybersecurity issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with security assessment tools, penetration testing techniques, and incident response procedures.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information and data.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity assessments for clients to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and compliance gaps.
  • Analyze existing security measures and infrastructure to determine areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Develop customized cybersecurity strategies and solutions tailored to meet clients' specific needs and requirements.
  • Implement security controls, protocols, and technologies to safeguard against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats.
  • Provide expert guidance and recommendations to clients on best practices for cybersecurity risk management and mitigation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of cybersecurity solutions.
  • Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to continually enhance the effectiveness of security measures.
  • Conduct security awareness training and education sessions for clients' personnel to promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness and compliance.
  • Assist clients in responding to and mitigating cybersecurity incidents, including conducting forensic investigations and implementing remediation measures.
  • Prepare and deliver clear and concise reports, presentations, and recommendations to clients' executives and stakeholders.
