Cloud Security Engineer

Landis+Gyr is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer who will join our global security team. Aa we are moving to a cloud centric model for our global technology environment,   we are looking for a motivated candidate with experience ensuring cloud environments have proper security designed and implemented, with a focus on working with Google Cloud.

About your future job:
•    Ensure proper security visibility and protections are in place and active with the companies’ cloud environments, with a focus on GCP.
•    Learn and adopt new tools and techniques to increase security within cloud environments.
•    Validate cloud deployments to ensure solutions and systems are properly secured.
•    Provide technical direction and oversight to cloud implementation teams to improve and assist in the documentation of identified GAP's in security processes and assist with assessing gaps.
•    Participate in DevSecOps to ensure security steps are included when developing cloud solutions.
•    Assess IAC code to ensure security policies are followed.
•    Monitor Gitlab environment to ensure application is setup and configured properly based on company security controls and policies.
•    Review CICD pipelines to ensure changes in GCP are not impacting security.
•    Utilize Security Command Center to assess current cloud security and make recommendations to enhance the environment.

About You:

•    2-4 years’ relevant experience working with or having responsibility for cloud security. 
•    Broad information cybersecurity knowledge, including familiarity with common security methodologies, tactics, and protocols.
•    Expertise with cloud ecosystems and leading-edge cloud emerging technologies.
•    Experience implementing GCP infrastructure, security, and topologies, or other cloud solutions for enterprise.
•    Experience with Google Security Command Center.
•    Experience with cloud networking (VPNs, VPCs, Virtual Networking, Firewalls), compute infrastructure (servers, databases, storage, load balancers), and developing/securing virtualized environments.
•    Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines utilizing tools such as ADO, Gitlab, Etc. 
•    Experience with Terraform.
•    Strong analytical problem-solving ability and self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a project team. 
•    Experience with regulatory guidelines (SSAE16, NIST, ISO)
•    Excellent communication and social skills
•    Strong attention to detail along with sharp analytical skills to identify problems at the network, systems, and application layers.
•    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors, coworkers, employees, and upper management
