Join a team of cybersecurity professionals and help Swiss Re to fulfil its mission in making the world more resilient. As the Senior Software Developer, you'll own the design and technical implementation of new customer access management self-service features, coach junior colleagues, and contribute to making the solution end-to-end successful as part of a DevSecOps team. What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises. 

 

About the team 

 

The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk and compliance. We define and advance the company's security strategy. As a part of the Security Team, the Customer Access Management team manages access of B2B partners to Swiss Re's applications and services.  

 

We're looking for a highly experienced software engineer who is passionate to shape with us the future of access management for Swiss Re customers by designing and implementing back-end elements for our solution. As you'll be one of the first members to join a brand-new team in our Madrid cyber hub, we're looking for a person with a proactive mindset who'll enjoy the opportunity to shape something new. 

 

In your role, you will… 

 

Be someone who believes in continuous innovation, is curious and relentless in finding a better way every day   

Design and implement features and components for our "Customer Access Management" application landscape 

Ensure technical design is in line with architecture and meets security and quality requirements 

Work with QA experts to ensure solutions meet high expectations for reliability and availability 

Contribute to technical documentation and DevOps support of the solution 

Mentor less experienced colleagues 

 

 

Your qualifications 

 

What we need from you 

Passion, drive and a belief in the value of developing high-quality, secure-by-design back-ends as an enabler of business performance 

6+ years of relevant work experience including complex projects in large organisations 

Experience with complex development projects using Java 

Technical skills and experience in the development of SPA components using OIDC and OAuth2.0 over backends 

Experience meeting non-functional requirements such as reliability, availability, performance 

Good communication skills in spoken and written English 

 

Nice-to-have 

A good understanding of multi-tier, microservice, Spring, RESTful-based applications, cloud technologies, containers 

Technical skills and experience with .NET framework 

Experience with the design and development of Azure-based applications 

Experience with agile development practices and DevOps 

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or comparable knowledge
