Job Summary

The Head of IT Governance, IT Risk, and IT Sourcing will oversee all aspects of IT governance, risk management, and sourcing activities, ensuring compliance with ECB ICT guidelines and BAIT requirements. They will lead the development and implementation of governance frameworks, policies, and procedures, while also managing IT risk identification, assessment, and mitigation. Strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures in accordance with ECB ICT guidelines and BAIT requirements. Lead the IT risk management function, including identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of IT risks across the organization. Establish and maintain effective IT sourcing strategies and processes to ensure the procurement of IT services and solutions meets regulatory requirements and organizational needs. Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess IT governance, risk, and sourcing requirements, and develop strategies to address them effectively. Provide guidance and support to internal teams on IT governance best practices, risk management methodologies, and sourcing processes. Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends related to IT governance, risk management, and sourcing, and recommend necessary actions to ensure compliance and alignment with best practices. Develop and deliver training programs and awareness initiatives to enhance understanding and awareness of IT governance, risk, and sourcing principles across the organization. Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, auditors, vendors, and industry peers, to stay informed about emerging issues and best practices in IT governance, risk, and sourcing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in IT governance, risk management, and sourcing roles within the financial services industry, preferably in an ECB-regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of European Central Bank (ECB) ICT guidelines and BAIT (Bankaufsichtliche Anforderungen an die IT) guidelines.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing IT governance frameworks, risk management methodologies, and sourcing strategies, preferable in an international and corporate environment setting
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Sound judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
