The Identity and Access Management (IAM) team is looking for someone with strong knowledge of IAM best practices and good technical skills across a range of platforms and IAM solutions.  The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IAM solutions such as Privileged Access Management and familiarity with Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Customer Information Access Management (CIAM) solutions.  

This position will report to the Senior Manager, Identity and Access Management and you will be working out of our Markham office. Currently this is a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days per week in the Markham office.  

What you’ll do:
 

In this role, you will be responsible for business as usual (BAU) request processing as well as the implementation, support  and extending the deployment of PAM solutions across the environment. As additional IAM tools are deployed within the Aviva IAM space you will use these tools and provide first level support for these tools as well.  

As part of this function you will create, review and enhance operational and support processes to ensure that they comply with Aviva and Industry best practices.  

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering 

  • At least 4 years of Information Security experience with a focus on IAM projects 

  • Hands on experience in the implementation, support and onboarding of systems and managed accounts for PAM solutions (BeyondTrust PasswordSafe is a must, CyberArk is a bonus). Experience with the coordination and onboarding of service accounts into the PAM solution would be a benefit. 

  • Hands on experience with other IAM solutions such as Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) and Customer Information Access Management (CIAM) would be a benefit. 

  • Solid grasp of Active Directory structure including Organizational Units, Groups, Access Rights, User Accounts, Objects, rights delegation, and GPO policies. 

  • Strong skills on Windows and Unix server platforms with familiarity on navigating the platforms, critical security files and configurations, local account and group best practices, Unix SUDO, file editing, etc.  

  • Experience in basic networking skills, such as configuration settings, connection troubleshooting, DNS, firewall rules, etc.  

  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience with scripting on multiple platforms (PowerShell, windows batch/command line, Unix bash) to extract and update security configurations. 

  • Ability to effectively employ critical thinking and analysis to determine issues, design and implement  solutions with minimal supervision.  

  • Able to multi-task on multiple projects and tasks with contending priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills – interacting with both internal and external clients and vendors from both technical and non-technical perspectives. 

  • A curiosity about digital/cybersecurity – the desire and openness to upskill as required to stay pace with the current cyber threat landscape.
