Test Principal Engineer - Network Security and IXIA **

Responsibilities  

• Experience working with system testing of networking products such as firewalls, switches, routers etc using third party test equipment like IXIA, Spirent and Breaking Point.
• Hands-on experience in Python framework development and automation
• Strong knowledge on Network Security and Operating System concepts
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers towards testing, automation and lab tasks.
• Explore new technologies towards increase in feasibility, productivity and/or quality of testing.
• Handles critical customer escalations and partners with Product Engineers towards PoCs etc.
• Recognizes and recommends major changes in test processes, test architecture and test automation.
• Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing.
• Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.
• Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
• Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
• Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
• Experience with lab automation, lab orchestration and inventory management.
• Experience with virtualization, Dockers and Cloud environment.
• Background in L2 switching and L3 routing protocols.

Requirements:  

• Excellent verbal communication skills--these skills are essential for this engineering role as some work being done is through remote communication. 
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Able to work effectively with and provide guidance to EE team and other collaborating workgroups. 
• Good presentation skills 
• Good aptitude for testing, exploration, troubleshooting, problem solving, multi-tasking and prioritization.

Education and Experience:  

• At least 8 - 12 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree.
