Summary: As a Senior Security Engineer at Onbe, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization's digital assets and infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain security solutions that protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the security posture of a rapidly growing company and make a meaningful impact.

This role is a hybrid role that will work onsite 1-2 days per week at our Conshohocken, PA location. Occasional travel may be required as part of this position.  #LI-Hybrid

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and penetration tests to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications.
  • Design and deploy security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint protection, and encryption technologies.
  • Monitor security logs and alerts to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and cloud infrastructure.
  • Provide guidance and support to IT and engineering teams on security standard processes and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Stay informed about emerging threats and security trends to proactively identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and resolution of security incidents.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of security awareness training programs for employees.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve security processes and procedures to enhance the overall security posture of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in a security engineering role focused on threat modeling, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development and cryptography.
  • In-depth knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, IDS/IPS).
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, DLP, WAF, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Experienced in PCI and SOC2 assessments and certifications.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Terraform, PowerShell) for automation and tool development.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security concepts and experience with Azure platforms.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or SANS GIAC preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing security projects and initiatives from inception to completion.

The base salary range for this position is budgeted for $119,700 to $139,650 with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of proven experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, business needs, and market demand.
