About the Role:

We're searching for an expert on global technology requirements including cybersecurity to join Remitly's Information Security team. You will work with engineering and development teams to determine how Remitly's services and operations match regulatory requirements supporting expansion. You will ensure Remitly provides correct details regarding technology and security programs to arrive at the right compliance outcomes. You will be local to Seattle and open to a hybrid work environment.

You will report to our GRC Manager and partner with our Global Expansion team.

You Will:

  • Consolidate narratives, system details, and program functions across many teams to provide a single set of repeatable responses to common regulatory inquiries.
  • Conduct external discussions with partners and regulators regarding the technology landscape at Remitly, emphasizing cloud-first structures and risk management models.
  • Prepare briefing and overview content at multiple layers of technical depth and abstraction.
  • Track and report status, compliance, and enhancement of country-specific obligations, solutions, and projects that address risk with minimal friction on existing workflows.
  • Maintain knowledge of an evolving cloud landscape and attendant systems or platforms.
  • Coordinate cross-team collaborative efforts to promptly deliver one clear answer.
  • Other related functions as required, including initiating remediation efforts where needed.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience sufficient to provide a detailed understanding of multiple global technology compliance regimes, specific to Security, Privacy, and Data, including standards, regulations, or licenses for financial compliance which incorporate these.
  • Demonstrated knowledge through certification or experience of cloud-native technology stacks, including software development, data localization, protection, and continuity.
  • Strong project and program management skills to ensure timely delivery of application materials and inquiries from process owners to regulators and partners in all time zones.
  • Flawless written and verbal ability that allows you to land details in nuanced technical discussion with audiences of varying technical depth, authority, and reporting level.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $144,000-$180,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
