Position Summary…

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

What you’ll do…

Walmart InfoSec is seeking a decision science analyst to join our Bentonville, Arkansas team. This is an amazing opportunity for a talented and driven individual passionate about using data to drive decisions and intrigued by the opportunity to expand a risk-based decision science and analysis team. This team employs quantitative and analytical methods to drive Walmart’s leadership in cybersecurity risk measurement and management. The initial focus will be on risk-based decision analysis and reporting, but future opportunities to stretch outside of information security into broader views of decision science will exist, as well as exciting opportunities to dive into developing new methods for incorporating operational metrics into broader decision processes. Knowledge of IT and information security concepts are important, but are not the core skills being sought. This is primarily a data analyst role, with cybersecurity investment decision-making as the initial focus.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or risk related field and 4 years’ experience in information technology or risk related field within the last 10 years OR 6 years’ experience in information technology or risk related field within the last 10 years.
