This is a brand new role at Starling , where you will be the Vulnerability SME within our security function.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Participate in security & engineering CVE process to ensure an up to date and accurate view of vulnerabilities affecting: platform and infrastructure services, engineering and security tooling and cloud services.
  • Participate in Workplace Technology vulnerability management process to ensure an up to date and accurate view of vulnerabilities affecting endpoints, staff desktop and mobile applications.
  • Collate and prioritise applicable vulnerabilities based on Starling Bank’s environment.
  • Work with applicable teams to ensure prompt remediation or mitigation of relevant vulnerabilities.
  • Keep current with Starling Bank’s application stack and infrastructure.
  • Accountable for documenting and tracking remediation actions between relevant teams.
  • Provide awareness to SOC of prioritised list of vulnerabilities that are relevant, enable SOC to create detections based on vulnerability landscape. You'll work with SOC to identify any exploitation of potential vulnerabilities.
  • Hold SOC accountable and provide threat intelligence on applicable vulnerabilities
  • Awareness of new/emerging vulnerabilities as well as handling of incidents for new vulnerabilities.

Requirements

We’re open-minded when it comes to hiring and we care more about aptitude and attitude than specific experience or qualifications. An overview of what would be useful:


  • Experience with CVE process's
  • Experience managing vulnerabilities in an engineering capacity
