About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic Jr. Security Operations Analyst to be part of our information security journey. You will be responsible for monitoring and implementing security measures to protect computer systems, networks and data. As an information security analyst, you are expected to stay up-to-date on the latest intelligence, including hackers’ methodologies, in order to notice behaviors that are an anomaly to anticipate security breaches.  This is a role where you will learn, grow and have mentorship to help guide and advance your skills and career.  

What You'll Do:

  • Execute security operations processes and procedures, and support IT technical teams
  • Interact with Legal, Risk and Compliance and the corporate Incident Response Team (IRT)
  • Support development and/or implementation of standards, policies, procedures, and solutions that mitigate risk and maximize security, service availability, efficiency and effectiveness
  • Research and investigate regulatory compliance requirements, reporting and questions, support the team in resolving compliance, audit and regulatory issues 
  • Review business processes to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support technology processes, help launch governance practices to monitor, detect, prevent and react to current and emerging security threats
    • Investigate suspicious activities, contain and prevent them
    • Audit and compliance support

Nice to Have

  • Network defense – Experience defending the network.  Tasks include monitoring, discovering, and analyzing possible threats. 
  • How to detect threats and report vulnerabilities in a manner that ensures the organization remains protected from attacks. 
  • Ability to manage several effects of breaches in a manner that reduces the impact of breaches. 
  • Familiar with computer forensic techniques that can help prevent cybercrime. Tasks include collecting, analyzing, and reporting security data.
