As a key contributor on the CTO team, you will help us make fundamental improvements to how Firefox and the Web work, thus strengthening privacy and security for hundreds of millions of users throughout the world.

What You'll Get to Do

  • Designing, prototype, and deploy cryptographic technologies that improve the security profile of the Firefox web browser.
  • Help us stay at the forefront of cryptographic applications
  • Apply state-of-the-art cryptographic techniques (such as post-quantum cryptography and formal verification of cryptographic primitives). 
  • Collaborate with researchers and engineers working in the areas of cryptography and network security.

What You Bring

  • Extensive knowledge of cryptography.
  • Strong skills in a systems programming language (e.g, C/C++, Rust).
  • Ability to understand and apply the work of cryptographic researchers.
  • A meticulous approach to software testing and code safety.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with security-critical programming (e.g., implementing algorithms for a cryptographic library).
  • Ability to instigate new lines of cryptographic and security research if needed.
