We are seeking a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This job is located in Merrifield, VA with some remote capability during the pandemic at the discretion of the customer. Preferred candidates will live within a commutable distance to this location.

This support contract provides a broad range of cyber services to all components under the CISO including cyber operations, cyber risk, security engineering and digital integration departments. The client’s enterprise consists of over 600,000 employees, 500,000 devices, 200,000 enterprise email accounts, 200,000 endpoints, 800 firewall sets, and 640+ URLs of which 350 require web application firewall protection.

What You'll Do

Support the mission of the Threat Intelligence Unit by analyzing and tracking adversaries, creating and sharing intelligence both internal and external to CISO, and creating and updating cyber threat profiles for leadership.
  • Conduct research and evaluate technical and all-source cyber intelligence to develop in-depth analysis and assessment on threats to critical networks and critical infrastructure
  • Will work closely with other technical, forensic and incident management personnel to develop an understanding of the intent, objectives and activity of cyber threat actors
  • Analyze network events to determine the impact on current operations and conduct all-source research to determine adversary capability and intent
  • Analyze commercial and open source intelligence feeds, adding context, and sharing key findings through formal and informal executive briefings
  • Develop and update Splunk queries/dashboards
  • Write API integrations and working with a variety of security related technologies in a dynamic customer environment
  • Create and support data processing pipelines and storage systems for threat intelligence data

Requirements

Education + Experience

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • 5+ years threat analyst experience
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Cyber Threat Intelligence Analysis and Reporting
    • Cyber Defense Techniques
    • Adversary Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs)
    • Boolean Logic TCP/IP Fundamentals
    • Network Level Exploits
    • Threat Management
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • Experience in Operations Centers, Incident Response, Threat Hunting, and Cyber Forensics are a plus
  • CERTIFICATIONS: one or more preferred – GCIH, GCFE, RHCE, CPTE, or CEH

Security Clearance Requirements

  • Ability to obtain Public Trust (or higher) government clearance.
