Principal Consultant, Cloud Security- Remote (Anywhere in the U.S.)

GuidePoint Security’s Cloud Security Team is seeking to add a Principal Consultant, Cloud Security with experience in solving enterprise multi-cloud security challenges. Our Principal Consultant engage with customers to understand their business security drivers to design secure, reliable and cost-effective cloud native architectures. As a Principal Consultant you will partner with customers, account teams and other GuidePoint Security teams to create solutions that address complex cloud security problems. The Principal Consultant will deliver across AWS, Azure, and GCP; though this role will specialize in our AWS services.

Responsibilities:

- Provide technical leadership in designing and implementing complex deployments for securing cloud (PaaS, IaaS and SaaS) solutions

- Responsible for understanding, designing and developing security solutions, technical and reference architectures and supporting security strategies tailored to our client’s needs, with a focus towards AWS

- Perform as a subject matter professional on AWS cloud technologies (and AWS cloud technology security)

- Assess existing AWS deployments and identify security improvements

- Provide architectural guidance for clients migrating to AWS (primarily), Azure, or GCP

- Present findings, recommendations, and project plans to senior leadership

- Hands-on experience capable of creating proof-of-concepts in AWS

- Ensure team knowledge and experience with AWS services remains current

- When not working on client projects, assist cloud security practice in improving service offerings

Experience:

- In-depth AWS knowledge including networking, encryption, identity and access management, and automation

- AWS experience must include IAM, Lambda, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, VPC networking (DX, Transit Gateway, VPN, Peering), KMS, Security Hub, Inspector, Config, and other security related services

- Working knowledge or experience with Terraform or CloudFormation

- Working knowledge of Lambda functions

- Experience working through and/or leading audits and assessments in the cloud

- Experience working with enterprise-level systems in order to design cloud equivalent enterprise-grade solutions

- Security related certifications highly preferred
