Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)

Job Description: 

We are seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) who is excited about solving national security related challenges. 

Responsibilities include:

• Use tools including Splunk, Kibana, and ElasticSearch to perform security monitoring and evaluation, audits, assessments, and risk management.
• Security awareness, training, incident response and management (POA&Ms).
• Active collaboration with technical leads, developers, and the client to ensure the system is within FISMA compliance.
• Provide security artifacts to ensure the systems security controls have proper evidence.
• Review system security audit logs and take corrective action as necessary.
• Ensure all technical security diagrams are updated.
• Create security guides, including education materials, and step-by-step Powerpoint slides

Basic Qualifications: 

• 10 years of experience in software engineering, program design and implementation, configuration management, or maintenance, integration or testing, and information systems engineering.
• 5 years experience in system security analysis and implementation; secure system engineering or design; ad work in protocol and/or interface standards
• Must currently possess an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI access. Must be able to pass a counterintelligence (CI) polygraph examination.

Desired Skills: 

• Experience managing incident response and leading security awareness training
• Familiarity with Splunk
• Familiarity with Linux Operating System
• Understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc).
