Solutions Architect, Security Specialist

Job summary
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for experienced and motivated technologists who possess a unique balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skill on information security.

The ideal candidate will possess customer facing skills that will allow them to represent Amazon well within a customer’s environment and drive discussions with personnel within the company, as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact and give guidance to software developers, security teams and architects. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, security, and technical challenges.

Your broad responsibilities will include: 1) developing a deep technical expertise in the security aspects of AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how solutions are constructed using the AWS platform; 2) being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.

You will help shape and execute a strategy to build solutions for a broad range of customer use cases from new start-ups to large enterprise customers. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to the Solutions Architecture team. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.

You will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on AWS.


Key job responsibilities
· As a key member of the business development and sales team, you will develop security solutions that help customers build and migrate applications, software and services on the AWS platform
· Capture and share best practice knowledge amongst the security solution architect community
· Develop content for the public face of AWS in terms of security, present at AWS and industry events on information security and cloud computing.
· Develop the sharable demonstration package to explain about AWS security and compliance services well
· Understand the AWS market segments, customer base, and industry verticals
· Work with AWS customers to convey cloud computing security and risk management best practices

Basic Qualifications

· 10+ years hands-on experience with security technologies. Must have advanced use case configuration experiences.
· The right person will be highly technical and analytical, possess 5+ years of current security solution architecture (development/implementation) experience
· Experience architecting the security aspects of infrastructure solutions using both Linux/Unix and Windows with specific recommendations on security controls and encryption
· Experience investigating computer network intrusions. Cyber forensics experience a bonus. AWS specific experience a bonus
· Experience architecting or deploying Cloud/Virtualization solutions. AWS specific experience a bonus
· Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations

Preferred Qualifications

· Working knowledge of security software development practices and technologies highly desired
· Experience working within the security software market or Internet industries is highly desired
· Having security related certifications such as CISSP, CISA and CISM a plus
· Experience with implementing and maintaining Insider Threat defense solutions
· Solid internet security architecture based on public cloud a bonus
