Horangi is looking for Cloud Security Researchers to analyze cloud infrastructure, identify security gaps and misconfigurations, and encode security insights into our security product. You will codify your research into rules that will run in our SaaS platform and inspect the critical cloud infrastructure of our customers.
Your work will identify vulnerabilities in the cloud infrastructure across the top 5 Cloud Service Providers, and provide remediation recommendations based on security best practices to our customers, many of whom are cloud innovators like Gojek, Singlife, Vodacom and Veraset. 

What you’ll be doing

• Analyse cloud infrastructure data across top 5 cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, Alicloud and Huawei Cloud) and have deep understanding of how their cloud technologies work
• Identify security controls, gaps and weaknesses in production cloud infrastructure
• Encode security inspection using python and build rules within our serverless framework
• Create remediation solutions for cloud vulnerabilities using NodeJS or Terraform
• Participate in our agile development with a nimble team of product managers, engineers, and cybersecurity specialists
• Make critical decisions based on security best practices and standards, cloud provider characteristics, and various stakeholders’ requirements

What we’re looking for

• You have at least 2 years experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps or building in the Cloud
• You have a good understanding of how various cloud services work for at least one of the Cloud Service Providers like AWS, GCP, Azure, Alicloud or Huawei Cloud
• You understand the risk of having a publicly accessible data bucket and the impact when exploited
• You are comfortable coding with Python
• You have strong interest in emerging cloud technologies, latest cyber security trends and vulnerabilities
• You want to develop your career in Cloud Technology and Cyber Security
• You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience

Bonus points if you have

• Relevant cloud certification is a strong bonus
• Relevant Information security certifications, eg CCSP, OSCP, CISSP, SANS etc
• Experience with compliance standards and guidelines, eg ISO27001, CIS, SOC2
• Prior experience in cybersecurity or intelligence fields
• Contributed to open source projects
