Amazon is seeking a Program Manager (PM) to join our Threat Hunting and Detection team in our Defense, Intelligence and Response (DIR) organization.

Join the team responsible for running Amazon’s threat hunting and detection program overarching all Amazon retail businesses. The Threat Hunting and Detection team works within the Defense, Intelligence and Response (DIR) organization to hunt, build, and maintain mechanisms to detect attacker tactics, techniques and procedures, and to investigate alerts. This position will provide you with challenging opportunities, both technologically and as a leader, but will also be a great deal of fun if defending Amazon alongside a team of highly skilled individuals sounds exciting to you.

Covering a broad range of work, this role is focused on managing and advancing the Threat Hunting and Detection team’s programs, operations, and initiatives by influencing key stakeholders and partnering with teams throughout Amazon to enable the implementation of innovative security solutions and controls to improve Amazon’s security posture. You’ll be using your program and project management skills to continually improve and mature the program, manage projects to build new hunting and detection capabilities, and manage team backlogs in order to maintain and raise Amazon’s high security bar. You’ll be backed up by a team of highly-skilled security engineers, all working with a singular focus of maintaining our customer’s trust.
· You will engage with multiple stakeholders to coordinate threat detector prioritization, visibility and capability planning.
· You will assist with the outreach to security partners at the entire Amazon business scale to coordinate threat detection consultation offerings.
· You will lead the definition and reporting on relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) to track threat hunting and detection coverage and capability growth.
· You will manage our work stream backlog and grooming processes to ensure our work is aligned to customer needs.

A person in this role must show exemplary judgment in making trade-offs between short-term fixes and long-term security and business goals. They must also demonstrate resilience and navigate ambiguous situations with composure and tact. Above all else, a strong sense of customer obsession is necessary to focus on the ultimate goal of keeping Amazon and its customers secure.
