The Opportunity

Our InformaCast business is growing, and we are looking for a capable Information Security Engineer, who enjoys security work and possesses both deep and wide expertise in the security space. You will be responsible for the implementation and validation of security controls in a variety of multiuser IT systems. You will support the operational security function to develop, maintain, and advance the security posture of the company to effectively protect corporate assets. We’re hoping that’s you!  

The job responsibilities include:

  •  Receiving and responding to issues from managed threat protection and executing investigation and appropriate response 
  • Work closely with development and IT teams to help formulate and implement a set of security policies to safeguard the development and software build systems
  • Help the business evaluate security risks as IT systems change
  • Continuously evaluate the organization’s existing application security practices, define and measure security-related activities, and demonstrate concrete improvements in activities and metrics
  • Work with application owners to address vulnerabilities through upgrades or retirement
  • Executing security policies
  • Create an audit trail of security-related activities, in support of future audit deliverables from internal IT
  • Participate in periodic audit for security certification
  • Oversee periodic IT security assessments/penetration test

You May Be Right for Us If You Have   

  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or other field related to the essential duties of the position. 
  • OS experience on what we use: Linux, Windows, MacOS
  • 3+ years of experience complying with related industry regulations and preparing responses to information security audits and questionnaires
  • 3+ year of experience performing related tasks to include risk assessments, IT audits, security planning, systems accreditation, security risk management and policy development
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of common information security management frameworks
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of domain structures, user authentication, data encryption, and end-user security best practices
