Exciting Sr. Application Security Engineer, 12 plus months contract, opportunity.

Requirements

Responsibilities


  • Utilize source code scan tools such as Veracode, Checkmarx, or SonarQube to assist application development teams to apply the best practice for application security and catch potential vulnerabilities at early stage
  • Conduct security assessments, security penetration testing and validation of test results
  • Provide security insights to vulnerability scan/pen test results
  • Working closely with development teams to assess the security posture/risk of the product features being developed
  • Conducts network monitoring and Systems (IDS/IPS), Firewalls, SIEM, NAC, Vulnerability Management tools
  • Experience with application security tools as IBM AppScan, Fortify, Checkmarx, Veracode
  • Correlates network activity across networks to identify trends of unauthorized use
  • Deep knowledge on switches, routers, sockets and firewalls to ensure Security


Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is highly desirable
  • 8+ years of work experience in information security
  • Strong decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate one
  • An understanding of business needs and commitment to delivering high-quality, prompt, and efficient service to the business
