Wonolo (Work Now Locally) is disrupting the $140BN temporary staffing industry. Founded in 2014, Wonolo's mission is to help people find consistent work. Through our two-sided tech marketplace, we connect hundreds of businesses in need of front-line workers with 1 million underemployed workers in local markets across the United States, within minutes. Wonolo recently raised $140M in growth funding which will continue to help us empower the in-demand workforce by democratizing access to flexible work, opportunities to learn new skills, a living wage, and comprehensive portable benefits and perks.
Wonolo is hiring its first IT Security Engineer. The focus of this role is ensuring our remote workforce and the IT services they use are protected from accidental and malicious activity. This role is both highly technical and collaborative, requiring deep knowledge of operating systems (macOS, Windows, Linux), IaaS such as AWS, and familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Java. Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills will be important when working with non-technical staff to ensure the security of their SaaS applications, their compliance with Wonolo's Information Security Policies, and the execution of their various audit and compliance requirements. The Security Engineer will own business side cybersecurity solutions, identification, and selection of security training topics, act as an escalation point for advanced security issues assigned by IT Support, and provide subject matter expertise across the business organization when needed. This is also an opportunity to help set up the environment Wonolo IT will use for automations, logging, monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on and responding to security-related events. This role will be tasked with Information Security enforcement through technical controls, ensuring configuration and change management is properly implemented and maintained, and automating audit and compliance reporting.
