The Role:

We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on leader to join us as our CISO and be responsible for all aspects of information security. As a business leader of this key function, you will report to the Co-founder and CTO and be responsible for designing and executing the overall information and cyber risk strategy. The role requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills as you will work cross functionally with various internal and external stakeholders.

Our architecture is built on AWS, with Kubernetes, so it is important that you have experience working in a similar engineering environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute the overarching cyber risk strategy
  • Manage all teams, employees, contractors and vendors involved in cyber risk
  • Monitor for attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorised or illegal activity
  • Design new security systems or upgrade existing ones
  • Use advanced analytic tools to determine emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities
  • Identify potential weaknesses and implement measures, such as firewalls and encryption
  • Investigate security alerts and provide incident response
  • Prioritising and managing the existing threats within the business
  • Understanding the technology stack and its vulnerabilities, and how to manage those in line with PCI / compliance / governance frameworks

Requirements

  • Certified in CISA, CISM, CISSP, MSc InfoSec, or be a previous QSA / 27001 LA, SIRA, IA
  • Experience of Cyber Security Detection, Prevention and Monitoring technologies such as SIEM, EDR, NDR, SOAR, UBA
  • Provide security expertise related to modern development techniques and tooling (Agile, Git, branching strategies, Scrum/Kanban, CI/CD, IDE tools and pipelines)
  • Working knowledge of Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, Docker and Kubernetes
  • Comfortable and experienced owning Incident Response processes cross company
  • Working closely with Security Operations to investigate alerts and application monitoring security incidents identified by an external SOC
  • Experience of the Splunk platform and log analysis would be advantageous to support development of security use cases
  • Experience and understanding of cloud platforms, such as AWS and GCP
