Amazon is looking for a poised individual with behavioral threat assessment and threat mitigation & management experience to assess and provide recommended mitigation strategies to stakeholders for the management and remediation of incidents of workplace violence globally. The successful candidate will be a behavioral threat assessment and management subject matter expert with project management and excellent people skills to join our Global Risk Management team supporting Global Security Operations and our customers and stakeholders globally. The successful candidate for this position has strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to successfully facilitate communications and threat mitigation information between the team, field investigators, corporate stakeholders, and, at times, external third parties. The candidate also has the ability to remain calm and deliver quick, calculated assessments and recommendations for mitigation and response efforts. This position is based in Goodyear, Arizona or Nashville, Tennessee.

Key job responsibilities:
· Manage highly sensitive and urgent threat of violence concerns, bringing subject matter expertise to effectively assess risk of violence utilizing proven behavioral threat management techniques then mitigate and manage threats of targeted violence.
· Conduct behavioral threat assessments and develop mitigation and management strategies in conjunction with stakeholders and peers
· Review, assess, revise, and develop awareness materials in conjunction with providing subject matter expertise to talent development teams to enhance awareness and knowledge across the organization.
· Develop and analyze data and metrics to identify issue trends and opportunities for proactive risk mitigation.
· Analyze trends and provide recommendations to the business to proactively address systematic risks.
· Develop, lead, and support a wide variety of projects intended to support the team’s mission and/or in support of partner and customer teams.
· Consult and collaborate with business partners, stakeholders, Legal teams and customers on urgent/complex investigations.
· Earn trust of field investigators and influence senior leadership/the business.
· Lead and contribute to innovation and continuous improvement related to identification and reporting of concerns and threat mitigation / management.
· Liaise with multiple layers of global law enforcement and cultivate sustainable relationships with industry experts.
· Deploy for urgent or complex investigations and/or on-site support

Basic Qualifications


· 5+ years of behavioral threat assessment and violence management or mitigation, security, human resources, or related experience.
· Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of professional or military experience
· Experience in conducting investigative work, investigative interviews, audits, data analysis, and intelligence gathering.
· Experience conducting non-confrontational interviews.
· Experience using Microsoft Office Suite systems including, but not limited to, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


Preferred Qualifications

· Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to write clearly and succinctly for senior leadership.
· Certified Threat Manager (CTM), Threat Management, Security, or HR certifications.
· Advanced degree or other specialized training in psychology, criminal justice, human resources, or related field.
· Experience in conducting end-to-end personnel investigations.
· Experience conducting non-confrontational and forensically based interviews.
· Fluency in other languages.
· Experience working and operating in a global environment; ideally supporting global threat assessment and management response programs.
· Project management experience and certifications.
· Experience in development and compilation and analysis of data and metrics.
· Continuous or quality improvement certification, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite systems including, but not limited to, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
