About the Role:

Our Global Security Operations organization is composed of multiple teams that work together to support our engineering and operations. Our mission is to keep the things that we value safe and secure while protecting the people, assets, and operations. From offices and labs, to prototypes and ideas, we ensure Cruise’s physical and intellectual assets are safe and secure and make informed decisions to protect Cruise.

As a Strategic Business Partner, you will build and foster relationships with Global Security Operations and Cruise Engineering to scale brand strength and impact towards organizational goals. You will partner closely with leaders to identify business needs, driving opportunities for risk mitigation across Cruise through actionable business insights.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build and scale direct relationships with key Cruise Engineering partners and Global Security Operations stakeholders, assuming the role of advocate and influencer to move the needle towards the goals of Cruise Engineering and Global Security.
  • Articulate Global Security’s mission and value proposition across Cruise Engineering, acting as a strategic thought partner to drive forward decision-making and actions through business takeaways.
  • Bring to bear project management competencies to plan and implement cross-functional initiatives supporting current and future goals and strategies.
  • Provide guidance to weave success towards Global Security’s mission across Cruise Engineers partners on a broad range of policies, programs, guidelines and practices, coordinating with Global Security product and service owners to achieve impact and results.
  • Conduct analysis on business takeaways to inform Global Security’s roadmap, projects and organizational strategies with impactful insights.
  • Proactively anticipate evolutions to Cruise’s global business risks and inform organizational strategy through high impact deliverables and outcomes.

What you must have:

  • 5+ years experience forging and enhancing relationships with leaders across all levels and functions of an organization.
  • 5+ years experience with a focus on scaling and activating thought partnership and outcomes.
  • 5+ years experience influencing, facilitating, presenting, communicating, analyzing, and problem solving.
  • Experience engaging at both the strategic and operational levels, owning projects that drive impact within both.
  • Experience communicating ideas and business concepts in accessible terms.
  • Experience leveraging and analyzing large sets of information to deliver business recommendations.
  • Industry and educational experience from a subject area spanning strategy, communications, marketing and/or business analytics.
  • Proven experience taking a view of risks to a business, weighing against business objectives, and working with teams to form a plan that addresses risks.

  • Familiarity with physical security systems such as Lenel, Avigilon, and others
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Engineering, or Business
